This song is written after the recording session in 2010. This is our attempt to shamelessly copy IMMOLATION's "Burial Ground". We hope we had succeeded. From the guitar riff introducing the song, to the verses and choruses and then rhythm backing the solos, our only aim is to emulate, and imitate, IMMOLATION. We had intended to use this for our 4th album, but thought that the timing is just right to bring this song into the picture.

The song had no title nor lyrics for 10 years. We came up with the title and lyrics only after recording the instruments. "The Storms And The Shadows" is just a phrase used in an article about the jinns (demons). Some nations believed storms are caused by djinns and the shadows are caused and used by them as well. The djinns are really interesting beings because of their relationship with humans. Djinns and humans exist in different dimensions but on the same universe. All the theories of quantum physics, dimensions and multiverses is probably the answer to the question of the co-existence of the 2 beings.

The djinns have their own existence to live and pursue. However, some would be curious and wonderous enough to meddle with the human dimension due to the knowledge that humans can be tempted and therefore toyed with.

The lyrics in this song attempts to introduce a universe where humans assume they are intellectual and powerful enough to take advantage of the djinns to pursue selfish goals. When we read about magic and sorcery, humans always boast about their ability to conjure the dark / light beings to seek help or power to achieve their desires. This song suggests that humans are made to believe that we are taking advantage of the djinns when in fact they are the ones who are toying with us.
